What I would like to see

Big Air:
Vincent Gagnier, Henrik Harlaut or Jossi Wells

Slope Style:
James Woods, Matt Walker, Andreas Håtveit or PK Hunder

Pipe:
Simon Dumont or Tanner Hall (anyone but Rolland)

why do a lot of you think russ will place in slope? his rails don't compare to guys like kenworthy, andreas, wallisch, ABM. With the course set like it is, I think it'll differentiate those who are really good at both jumps and rails.

Because he is the most likely to throw a triple in a slope run other than bobby and ESPN is on triples nuts right now

Well I hope they put heavier weight on a clean, technical rail game than on throwing triples, but you're probably right.

You most definitely need rail skills, especially in this course.

I honestly can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not about the rail skills. Tom Wallisch and Gus Kenworthy had an identical jump section last year: switch right 9 mute, dub 12 mute, back to back switch dub 10 japans. Tom had a better and ballsier rail section, and he took gold while Gus didn't place. Also, Goepper's jumps were harder/more tech than Tom's, yet when Tom pushed that blind 4 out of the wall ride, he took gold.

Not podium predictions, but predictions on who will do well.

Pipe:

Torin: This kid is amazing, expect big stuff.

Wing Tai: He goes HUGE, bigger than Dumont even, kid goes twice as high. Look up a few videos. He goes big and hucks some crazy stuff.

Mike Riddle: We'll see some big stuff from him, some top qualifications earlier this season and his new double flat 7 bow and arrow will turn heads.

Justin Dorey: He killed it at Dew Tour and has potential to take gold for sure. The Left to Right Dub 12 safeties are crazy, as well as the big zero spin hit.

Going to say it could be many other people, I am aware the french kids will contend, We have T-Hall and Simon coming back and then David Wise, who I never really favor too much, but he always throws something.



Big Air:

Bobby: He'll be eager to get the Triple 14 at least, maybe even 16. Not to mention an array of new doubles and a few surprises.

Gus Kenworthy: If we learned from JOI last year, it's that Gus will and can go big. Look for a possible triple.

Henrik: Of course he'll throw his butter double, maybe he'll even add something to it, I'd love to see something additional as well as the butter double, like dub 9 or 7?

Alex Schlopy: This guy is going to throw down, he's been eager to huck something big, look for big spins and doubles.

Kai Mahler: The switch Double Misty bow and arrow is insane. He won Dew as well.



Slopestyle:

Not sure if Tom will be competing at his full, so I'm going to leave him out.


Andreas Haetviet: He has insane consistently, tech as hell rails, crazy doubles and he stomps everything, look for a good score for him.

Russ Henshaw: Going to say he'll throw something big here, if not as well in Big Air (similar to One Hit Wonder Down Under) look for clean rails and big tricks below.

Gus Kenworthy: He'll be slaying the rails and that canon box for sure, then some big stuff on the jumps.

All the guys will kill it, possible triples in slopestyle this year? Who knows.



Overall:

Jossi: He'll continue to kill it. I think he's doing all 3 disciplines.

Gus: Big air and Slope will be BIG, look for possible pipe scoring too?

Bobby: He's going to throw down, Big Air and Slope.

Torin: Possibly doing another discipline than pipe?


This year's X Games will be crazy, I'm so excited. Can't wait.

Tanner Hall will podium in pipe, then go on to win Olympics next year. I'm calling it.

How do people think tanner or Henrik are gonna win anything. Get off their dicks already.

All seriousness aside, I hope he makes the Olympic team and ends up doing well in Russia. That would be the ultimate for that dude's career.

Okay, I think I'll change my prediction for pipe. I'm going to go with a USA podium. I'm just going to say Wise, Wallace and Dumont.
