Foggy Fun-critique

I am just starting out making edits, and i'm rocking imovie so just to put that in perspective.

I shot the the vid with a t2i and a tamron 17-50. I realize it's not that great, but give me some advice, and I will make improvements on my next video :)

AYO go Granite! A few things I noticed is that you never had a shot of a landing, like a shot from the other end of the rail, it was always from the top. Mix in a few landing shots and I think it would be more exciting. Also the music choice, a lot of people want music that they dont hear every 2 songs on the radio. If you did both of those things, I think it would look a lot nicer. If you start getting more serious about it look at getting a fluid head tripod. You dont have to start out with anything fancy, just something that will get you started. I recently just upgraded to an almost $400 tripod set up, which you might want to do some day as well.

Awesome guys thanks! I didn't know the songs were that mainstream, i guess i never listen to the radio so that would make sense. which one is in a trailer, lol i had no idea. So a tripod or a glidecam first? Or should I invest in Final Cut Pro?

Yeah, torrent FCP 7 or adobe premiere CS6.


Get a tripod first defiantly. Glidecams are fun to use and all, but excessive glidecam can be annoying. Plus, everyone needs a good tripod.

Another thing, watch your white balance. Some shots were very blue. Try to keep constant colors throughout.

yeah lack of the stabilization i agree, I have a videomic pro, should i just keep it on the 0+ setting or throw it down to -20?
