This camera is in absolutely fantastic shape for being an older DSLR, and can definitely hold it's own against newer stuff. It's not the fastest or have the highest resolution or anything, but it's a solidly built camera that takes great photos. Such as these...
This is a great little starter camera for those of you who are just getting into digital photography, or are looking for a timelapse setup that they can leave alone for a while without feeling like they're killing the shutter on their pricier camera, or putting out there waiting for some dickwad to steal it.
The grip takes two BP-511 batteries - same batteries they used up until the 50D and the 5D classic. You can also buy the wall plug-in cable for this and run it without battery power. I've never used/bught this however, because I've always felt like two batteries was plenty of juice - it's definitely been able to last me over a whole weekend of shooting many times.
The Lens is basic, but gives you plenty of focal lengths to work with - on crop sensor it's more of a 55mm-120mm lens. It's a decent starting point for a lens collection. It's in very good shape. No scratches or even dust between the elements.
If you're looking for this as a timelapse camera, I'd be willing to throw in the intervalometer for 20$
Looking for about 225$ shipped.
