To be a press, you have to be pressed. That means rail or edge of box fully behind or in front of binding, and skis flexed. The first photo skierrman posted was a dude squatting with his front foot pushed out a little... looks cool and is his own style, like Kieran (who's skiing I am really really stoked on), but it's not REALLY a press... second photo looks silly, but if he could hold it in that position down the rail, that would actually be a press.
I don't argue with the blunt / noseblunt / whatever names posted above, that was a good clarification of what those mean.
However I do hate it when people just squat on a rail and people are like OMG PRESSSSS!
Because you actually have to PRESS your skis for it to be a PRESS
