So today I went back, they proceeded to tell me my skis were not finished and to hand them over. Since they had lost my form they told me to "fill out a new one." I did, then another employee there tells me it would be 50 dollars. I told them I'll pay when they're finished, partly because I knew I would be getting them for free. Another employee tells me "how was no wax treating you." I said I didn't have time to wax that week, and they were going to get trashed on rails anyway. Another employee says, "we'll have to do a full tune since your edges were dull." I proceeded to say I did not want them sharpened, and if that was the procedure...then to please detune them/basegrind them. He says that will be another 20 dollars. I couldn't find my friend so I said, "look, I'm not looking to pay that much please just give me them back." The other says "we've already started on them, and YOU already signed the form." Another one says, "You should have your edges sharpened, because rails will dull your skis out more." I say, "sharpened skis and rails do not mix, just give me back my skis." I grab them myself, I could clearly see they hadn't started working on them. As i'm walking out, I see my friend, (his shift had just started) he said "it would be no problem" and to disregard what they said.
Haha all I was thinking when I left was they must only be working with race skis, and I clearly wouldn't be taking them back. What would you have done?
