So my knees have been going downhill for years. In june I put the final touches on my right knee in virginia. Wasn't sure what was wrong with it but knew something was wrong.
Probably a bad idea but stayed on summer tour. I was really careful with it though, had crutches, sat down at shows, didn't run or dance on it.
Went to the doctor 4 or 5 months ago to find out what was wrong. Basically said that I strained it and to keep a knee brace on it and be good to it and it would be fine. They actually convinced me not to get an mri. I know you're probably thinking well I'm an idiot for not just going and getting one. I live over an hour drive from the closest place I can even get an mri and even with insurance it isn't free. I mean not sure why I trusted what these people had to say but I mean they are called doctors, I guess I knew what the hell they were talking about.
So finally got an mri and just found out I have a torn quad. Not super bad but still a tear. Also gotta figured out what the deal is with the joint too because that's pretty much curb stomped, idk if they can do much for that though.
So I'm thinking, well hoping it'll be a pretty easy, be good to it, physical therapy and monitor it and you're good to go kind of thing. At the same time, that mean I probably won't be snowboarding for the rest of the season.
