Cheap iron?

I only have a cheap iron which is about 20 years old and i don't want to buy some waxing iron for 100 bucks...
have you experiences with such cheap irons?
will it work?
is there a "minimum" i should spend for irons?

just get one from your local thrift shop, make sure its totally flat on the bottom

I got mine at walmart for $7 and the little holes on the bottom do not matter. they are recessed so they will not effect waxing or scratch your skis at all. So basically any iron will work.
