So I've been skiing on some 171 El Rey's for a few years and they're just getting to short for me. I don't really ski much park anymore because I tore my subscapularis in my rotator cuff a few years ago besides the occasional jump. I'm more of an all mountain skier. I also want a ski with a wider waist. I've been looking at the 182 of the Green Lifes and Watch Lifes recently because I can get last years model for 270 or so. What is everyone's experience with these? Do they edge well for being a little wider?
I had watch lifes and i just ordered green lifes. Same ski. They are such good all mountain skis. Stiff, decent amount of camber, sidewalls as thick as your dick. They plow through the crud so easily and hold an edge well as long as its not ice.
i loved mine so much i had to get another pair and being made from scraps that would have ended up in the garbage is pretty neat.
Im 5'8 and ride the 182s at -2. I might go -3 on my new green lifes
I just wish they had a longer size, I'm 5'11 almost 6' and a beefy 240. But I think I'm gonna keep my el rey's for those icy days since I am in the midwest.
