I have a pair of 172 surface green lifes and im looking for a pair of bindings. What is a break width that i should have? Btw underfoot on the green lifes are 100mm
You don't want to be any more than 15mm wider than your underfoot, and I wouldn't like to be bending out any more than ~10mm. Basically if your skis are 100mm undeerfoot you wouldn't want anything wider than 115mm as their might be drag, and you would want to be on a brake narrower than 90mm because of the chance of damaging the brake during bending.
yeh it's simple, manipulating the brake wings is to be expected in more 'non-system' mounts. Your shop tech should have a problem bending your brake wings.
i have 105mm underfoot and the 100mm fit perfectly!!
If u think theyre too tight, u can stretch them out a bit. If u go to the next size, itll be 115mm whihch i personally think is way too wide cuz when ull turn and carve your brake will hit the ground.
