Best DVD/BlueRay ripping software?

I have a ton of ski movie from the last 10 years or so and very few of the older ones are offered on iTunes in a digital format. I want to rip all of them to my computer for Apple TV/ease of travel but there are tons of programs out there to choose from.

What's the best/easiest program or process for ripping high quality-iTunes friendly movie files?

And if it helps, I'm running the newest OSX with a quad core i7 and 8 GB of RAM and I don't mind paying a few bucks for exceptionally good software or using multiple conversion programs if necessary. I just want a quality file that isn't 20 GB or impossible to input cleanly into iTunes.

Mac the Ripper is the best dvd ripping program although i dont think it works on the newest operating systems :-/ but then you can use handbrake the convert the dvd format to a mov or mp4 format.

So just to make sure I understood that, try Mac the Ripper and if that's a no go Handbrake is the second best option?

No, mac the ripper "rips" the dvd but you're left with a dvd format file which needs to be converted and you can use hand brake to do that. You might be able to rip with hand brake too. Hopefully someone else chimes in here, i havent ripped a dvd in like 5 years

if you just want to get the dvd into itunes, use handbreak, you can rip into a bunch of different formats
