Replying to My dog has a problem?

so i got my dog from the pound about 6 weeks ago and he's really cool and funny and handsome and whatever but for some reason his hands are SUPER greasy. like, it's weird. i wake up in the morning and when i hold his hand i feels like he dipped it in bacon grease.

there's nothing for him to dip his hands into in my house at all...i'll take a towel and wipe his hands off and they're fine for awhile but then without in few hours they're just super, super greasy again.

does anyone know what could be causing this? i definitely did try google so don't jump on my shit for that. i just don't know if i should take him to the vet. it's starting to get gross and annoying to have greasy dog handprints all over my place.
