Hi there NS, my first post. I'm currently doing a season in Austria and my local shop stocks line. They give me a really nice discount on stuff and I'm hoping to invest in a new pair of skis and bindings.
I'm a pretty strong skier for an Englishman. I've done 2 full seasons and skied every year since I was 5. I'm strong off piste and on piste, but I'm looking to do a "bit" of park too, if I can overcome "The fear!". I'm 6" 165 pounds and I am currently riding on 2010/11 Volk mantras. They're great skis, but I want something lighter, with twin tips and more playful.
My question is this. Should I go for Blends or Chronics if I want a ski that can do on piste, a bit of powder and some park too? I know the chronic is more park orientated than the Blend, but what do you think? I have the option of a 185 blend, or a 178 chronic.
Finally, this shop also has all the marker bindings. What do you think would be best for a all mountain/freestyle ski? I have Griffon's on my Mantras.
Thank you!. :)
