I just bought my 2013 chronics, and i asked the shop to CENTER mount it. I skied with it for 2-3 days, not knowing anything. i later measured the skis, and i found that the front portion is about 1cm larger than the back portion from the point that was marked "center" Is this truly center mounted? HELP ME!!! if not, i want my money back!!!!!
put your boot in the binding, theres a line on the middle of the sole in all boots that marks midsole, if it lines up with the centre line of your ski, its centre mounted, dont give your shop a bad wrap
that has nothing to do with your shop, unless of course your shop happens to be the line factory, if thats what the ski says is centre then that is the centre of the ski
on the chronics, the center mount is not marked. All it shows is one line, which is according to line is -4cm back. So, to get to the center, im guessing you need to move 4 cm forward to make it 0 (neutral). But, they moved it 3 cm forwards to -1cm from the center point. Now the tip is 1cm longer than the tail.
I have schizo bindings on my chronics so I can move them around and I actually prefer them At -1 or-2 they ski better that way because they aren't symmetrical
when i bought it? no. The store was closing and i forgot to discuss. I later called on the phone and asked for it to be centered. On the receipt it clearly stated "Center mounted",
There's true center and core center, I know it's 650 bucks but it won't make a noticeable difference as stated above, I think you'll live but go ask the shop for a store credit or something I wouldn't be surprised if they gave you a credit for how much it costs to mount the ski but at the end of the day you're still gonna have a good time
I guess they did. By bad :{ and i went to a different shop yesterday, and they said that it was mounted at core center, making it better than at true shape center. Im all good now. Thanks everyone for helping me out!!
my friend has these skis with marker jesters, he doesn't even have them centermounted on the ski and he shreds them hard, so a 1cm difference isn't going to make much of a difference, and not being an ass and don't take this the wrong way, but go get out a ruler and look at a centimeter, and just think is that actually going to make any difference?
