First GoPro ski edit

Hello everyone, i recently purchased a GoPro hero 3, this is my first edit with it, it is also my first time in the park for this season, sorry about the foggyness, those were the conditions.

One bit of advice, fix your helmet mount. Its supposed to show your skis not your helmet

Nice boots. I'll actually try and be nice and give constructive criticism here. Your mount position for your gopro needs to change so we can see your skis. Also, try and cut down on shots that aren't of good skiing. Don't use dubstep. Don't bother filming an edit in those condition ever.

but actually it's way too long, it looks like you filmed for a day and put in every single clip. It's better to have an edit that's 2 minutes and leaves people wanting more than 5 minutes that has people wishing it was over. Cut out clips of you falling or bad shots that only have a person's skis on a rail. or just their head in the air.

And if visibility is zero it's probably not a good day to bring your camera and make an edit. wait for a bluebird day when you can actually see.

Ok, i'll try to give constructive criticism only because it shows you guys are having fun and not taking it too seriously.
For first, like most other people in this thread, you need to change the angle on your helmet mount.
I personally hate helmet mounts tho. always the same angle, cant do good follow cams, can't choose what to film. I prefer mounting it on a ski pole.
Also, the edit doesn't look like much of an edit. looks like you took all the footage from your one day of filming and just added a song. You need to cut out the boring moments, only keep the good footage.
And if its not nice out and only have a gopro to film with, it's not rlly worth it.

Rich gapers? Anyway, in an edit go for the shot that looks good. Take time with each feature, i would invest in a tripod for your gopro and set it up at a feature and hike that for a few GOOD clips, this will allow for a better shot angle that doesnt have the viewer feeling a bit dizzy. When weather is going to be good plan for a trip out to your mountain. If your going to film in these conditions try and get your mountains' park crew to paint out the edges of the jump. This can help the viewer pay more attention when watching. If you can, find a young park rat that looks up to you to film, if you take a day to teach them and if they are a good skier they will be a sweet addition. Stay away from shredding with snowboarders, when they film they miss every good trick i do, and probs will with you. Nice try, follow all tips given, and look at successful edits for ideas. Also as someone else said dont use dubstep, or something that your group likes. Chances are it isnt that good. Sort through edits and other simple music that will match with your video and editing. Thanks for the advice everyone, The main reason i filmed on this day was because i just purchased a new go pro and i was super stoked to use it. The conditions also dictated how we had to ski, visibility was so low that you could barely spot your landing. Yes this is catamount and I will work on my new edit with all these tips.
