I can tell you really need help. Your grammar is very poor. Start with the title of this thread. "I have to write 'a' essay..." It's supposed to be "an" essay not "a" essay due to essay starting with a vowel.

Your thesis should be something like, "30,000 gun deaths a year is the price you pay for liberty. We live in a country of stupid and irresponsible people. If you want to restrict liberty to make that number go down then go ahead, if you don't, a lot of innocent people getting killed is the price to pay for that freedom."

I mean thats pretty much the crux of the argument. 5 paragraphs of filler and bullshit after that ought to make a decent paper.
