My family is considering a trip out to whistler in late march but my dad has this impression that its always raining in whistler. I did some research and found that the average snowfall is pretty high in march but the high an low temps through march are 19-27F lows and 42-47F highs. For those of you who ski whistler on a regular basis, what is the weather usually like in late march?
In recent memory, March has been pretty fucking killer. I'm pretty sure it was last year that I ended up being like wtf, why does it keep snowing, I just want some sunny park laps. As far as I can tell, March at Whis is just a continuation of winter and is likely to provide rad conditions.
Last year I skied deep pow in the sun on April 1st and 2nd, but it can be hit or miss that late (could be spring). Rain to the top is possible any time of the season but not that common.
yea pretty much whats been said. theres potential to get some of the best pow days of the season then, lots of fresh snow with a big snowbase. last two marches were insane, or it can just get all warm with rain and sun.
past couple years I've gone to hawaii and australia during late march and it snowed so much during that time. I was seeing pics non stop on facebook of all the pow
