.AR6rider.“Doesn’t lift, but thinks he’s big” summed up perfectly in a single picture.
People with overly big upper bodies look stupid. I used to do bench and pullups in college and got to the point where i could bench 245 twice and literally do pullups all day (i did 50 once and couldve kept going but it was like whatever. I could throw myself up on top of a pullup bar like a gymnast), and while it attracts girls it just seems like it was a stupid thing to do in retrospect. Having a big upper body isnt going to make you any better at skiing or skateboarding. In fact, it will probably make you worse. I have pretty good muscle accumulating capability for some reason. Even just rolling around popping ollies for an hour a day will make my legs get swoll as fuck. If i was going to go back to a gym, i would do all legs because it would help me skate and ski better.
also lifting the giant muscles in your legs like your quads will lead to bigger testosterone release in the body which will lead to more muscle growth throughout your body including in your arms.
its much more fun to have “legs of steel” than to look like some chad tool who would kill themselves if they tried to ride a skateboard.
lifting is fun, dont get me wrong, but id be much more impressed these days by someone with a light upper body and huge powerful legs.
having huge legs and small upper body makes you inherently much more stable as well. Lower center of gravity.
that being said,
do you even lift bro?
