So I always used to leave my phone in the car because I was afraid I'd fall on it and crack the screen. Recently however, I've started bringing it with me because Siri is really convenient...I can make calls, text, change songs, etc without taking my phone out of my pocket. I don't have a case on it, not a huge case fan...but anyone have any input? Have you broke your phone skiing? Should I not worry about it?
My friend went snowboarding (strike one) last week with his galaxy note 2 and fell and destroyed it (strikes 2 and 3). You could just put it in your butt, warmer operating temperatures increase battery rate performance.
I usually keep it in my zipped right pant pocket. Twice I have forgotten to zip it up and it fell out. I was able to find it both times and was lucky enough that it didn't have water damage.
It should be fine as long as you remember to zip whatever pocket its in
I put it in my chest pocket, simply because only other pockets would be pants and i know if i fall on rail or skiing in general, i'm hitting pants more then chest.
This is what I have always done, however recently I have been skiing harder and my body heat creates condensation on my phone which I believe is now messing with my touch screen.
i usually bring my phone in one of those waterproof outdoor technology cases, though sometimes, like yesterday, i forget to grab the case, so I'll just put it in my goggle bag and the my pocket. the bag seems to help with condensation. I always have my phone so that I can text/find friends, use the skitracks app, listen to music etc.
nah i fucked my ipod touch last year in the chest pocket. then again i slammed my face/chest on the ground when i underrotated a rodeo so thats why. i dont think theres really anywhere you can keep it with zero risk of breaking the screen or something. i dont ski with my phone anymore, just leave it in the car. its not that hard to go a day without a phone really.
I keep mine in my front pant pocket, ipod nano in jacket pocket. I def dont ski park like I used to though, so no big concerns about breaking it. I use it to take random photos & stay in touch w/ friends.
lanyard around your neck and attatch a goggle bag to the keyring with the strings put your phone in the weight pulls it tight and youll never have to worry about it. life changing I know.
I'd agree but I once broke a phone in that pocket. It was a classic Chinese downhill, then shit got real for me, tomahawked and discovered that my phone didn't work.
