Newschoolers Minecraft Server

YO NS Minecraft players! I have been working with a friend (lbuitendam) to set up a server for newschoolers mc players to play on. After some of you bitched about the vanilla server, we added bukkit/plugins to it and are now ready to have people join! We are still working on making sure the plugins are all working properly, so bear with any downtime and maintenance.

The IP: 76.179.161.78:25564

****Note! This server is not maintained by newschoolers.com in any way,shape, or form. It is a server I personally set up for NS members to use. Message ME with any issues !!*****

And just FYI, this is run by me on a personal machine. Uptime is not guaranteed to be 24/7 but I will try to keep it on as much as possible. Again, message me with issues.

Server Rules:
1) No Griefing
2) No Bitching/Whining/Moaning
3) No Looting/Stealing/Douchebaggery
4) No Shitty Buildings
5) What Admins say, goes. End of story. (Seriously don't back talk)
6) No asking for blocks/items/promotions. Don't ask us, we'll ask you.

smh guys bukkit and the plugins don't instantly update when MC does, going to be a while before it's all back to 1.5 speed. In the meantime dont update or I can get a no plugins vanilla 1.5 server going

I can put up the vanilla one. My f'n computer keeps crashing and i have to manually restart/forward every time it does, so I usually forget when i come home and have to recover stuff on it.

I haven't seen any post in this thread in a while and haven't seen the server up for quite some time. I created a server about 10 months ago but stopped working on it 2 months later. I decided to have it back up mainly just for people on NS.


The ip address is now NSserver.zapto.org
not the one posted in that thread!

If you don't want to read that whole thing here is a general summary of the server:

Bukkit Server
3 different worlds
-Survival world
-Creative world
-Games world (Custom Survival Games arena and Spleef arena)
Members can use world edit in creative mode
Plots in creative world
You can create factions and claim land in survival world

Hopefully I can have this server up quite often

Hey man, I promoted you and Paul_Wall to Member so you can use world edit + other commands (i think don't remembers which ones) next time you guys join.

If anyone has problems or finds any bugs just tell me and I can fix anything if need be

It's not possible for emerald to be picked up. Just disappears after destruction.

I just had -MK- try it on the survival world and it worked fine. He was able to pick up the emerald and everything. Not sure what you problem was. I can give you an emerald next time you get on. It might be because you were not in the Member Group?
