So I'm sitting around my house for these last couple weeks of winter break, watching all of my friends return to their normal routines while I work mindlessly at the local gas station a couple days out of the week in northern NH.
So I go into work today, and begin my 8am shift like I always do on Saturdays. Mid-morning rolls around, and I'm just sitting there watching cars go by when a truck pulls up to the gas pump that has some K2 skis in the back, along with a bunch of other stuff.
I think nothing of it, but within minutes I find myself looking over the counter at Charlie Owens and Clayton Villa! :D Living and going to school in NH, I don't get many chances to get away from New England, meaning I've never met any pro skiers before. Seeing those guys walk into the store in my miscellaneous town, while Nick Martini himself is pumping gas right outside was enough to make my whole weekend.
Looking back, I probably looked fuckin crazy because I was so shocked when I asked "holy shit are you Clayton Villa?!" that I simply stood there. Turns out, they're staying in the next town over at Martini's place while they film some urban!
Yeah, I realize this probably isn't threadworthy but I've been so stoked all day since (haven't been so pumped for a while) I had to share this awesome experience! They were all super chill and hopefully I'll meet up with them soon to watch them get some shots
Meh. They're basically just dudes like you and me, and they happen to be able to do tricks on skis. I like watching them perform the tricks, but otherwise who cares.
