It seems like half the athletes who fell at the Grand Prix pipe finals fell on alleyoop spins between 5 and 9. A lot of those guys stomped dub cork 1260s and other more technical tricks. The alleyoop isn't even really corked, so what's the deal?
i assume you're talking about flats? alley-oop just means spinning up the pipe i'm fairly sure. flats are pretty tech tricks and yes they are pretty off axis you've just got to remember that where the skier's starting alignment is to realise this. when throwing alley oop tricks you're going against the normal momentum which is what makes them more difficult than they look. i think it was maybe david wise who threw an aboslutely massive one which was impressive given the conditions.
I may be wrong, but I thought alleyoops differed from flats in that the flat is a whole body "cork" whereas the alleyoop is sort of the lower body/grab. I'm probably wrong.
