So, I went to the store a couple of days ago to try and find a new boot. I have previously ridden the FT Booter 11/12 and SPK 10/11. I loved the SPK's, but wanted to try out FT as I had heard such great things about their products. I bought a pair of the FT Booter last season and started getting problems. Shinbang and toebang was much more noticable and the boot just felt more painful all around. I know this might have something to do with me personally, rather than the boot, but anyways. So, I decided to give FT another go. Came into the store, sat down and tried on this years TWall, Drop Kick and Seth Morrison boots. I would say I have pretty average feet, not to wide, but a little perhaps. None of them would fit me. They were simply just too narrow around the widest part of my feet and the tightness was pretty unbearable to say the least. Then I tried on this years Booter pair, much better, the only pair of FT that actually felt good on my feet. Now, I don't know wheter or not I should get them. I love the way the initially feel on my feet, but my bad experience with my last pair really gave me an urge to try a different pair. I love the practical aspect of FT, the way they are easy to strap on etc. and I really wanna continue to wear the brand, even after my first experience with them. I was looking to buy any of the other boots than FT Booter, but I was quite dissapointed when they didn't fit me. So, is this something that FT is known for? Producing boots that might not fit people with wider feet? Maybe FT should keep this in mind when producing next years bootline? Maybe the B&E model will be more forgiving on the matter? Really don't know if should try another brand than FT right now, so just sharing some of my toughts on this. Anyone else have anything to contribute, feel free. Thanks.

couldnt agree more with this thread..


i was the same way a few years ago when i got my boots. i wanted FT's because i wanted to see what everyone was raving about. however, my foot is like a tree trunk. the bootfitter recommended me some SPK's, i tried them on, and i fucking love them. this is my 3rd season on them and i still have no complaints.

I can honestly say I'm not a trend whore. I have extremely wide feet and it would be nice if FT made a fat boot. Just to expand the boot market for people with wider feet. I have had SPKs for about 4 years but they're bagged now. I tried on the current model and they fit differently it seems. Who knows? Maybe fat FTs would fit me well. As for simplicity.. Really? It's 2 buckles, a pull cord, and a strap..

I wish this was a good thread instead of eheath getting sucked into some trolling riches comments. With 40,000 posts I would've expected him to not let Internet kids make him so angry.

Back on subject.
I bought a pair of Rossignol SAS FS1 boots a year and a half ago, and much to my surprise, I love the absolute hell out of them. They have the cable flex much like the Full Tilts but I tried the Full Tilts as well and they were not very suitable to my fat ass feet. I was skeptical buying year old boots( brand new ) for $165 and the fact that I wanted some "cool" boots. But god a I glad that I bought the Rossignols. Moral of the story. If you look around and try even try boots you wouldn't ever think of buying, you'll find some great ones. Full Tilts are nice and all, but in the end, comfortable boots are much better than looking "cool".

That's a fucking retarded reason to want a boot. The three piece design is more complicated than a two piece. The buckles will not last as long as any other brand, and the liners have to be fit. Both of these things make them more complicated and less practical. You made a stupid fucking thread that has been made 100 times before and got flamed for it. Deal with it, and don't ask for respect you don't deserve.

I just purchased the new twall's. I was going to purchased the classic's but the shop didn't have my size. I do not have a wide foot, average sized. I went to the best boot fitter in denver. I had them heat molded, and properly fitted. I went to ski at vail on thursday, I could hardly ski. The pain on the side of my foot, was unbearable. After 1 run, I couldn't put any pressure on my left foot, it felt like someone had a lit a match in my boot. Seriously the most pain I have ever felt in a ski boot. I almost had tears in my eyes. I brought the boots back, and the shop confirmed that my foot is not too wide for the boot. I guess my foot just has somewhat of an odd shape. Anyways, the shop had to grind away some plastic inside the shell. After that, they felt MUCH better, and are very comfortable. On a side note. I think the twall's are prob the ugliest boot I have ever seen. I don't buy boots based on looks, but man...these things look like fucking timberlands.

I have last years Dallbello krypton rampages and I have never had a problem with them. They r easy to put on and comfortable but honestly man you should go with wat fits you best

i have full tilt booters and had lots of problems with them so far, slowly getting better but its slowly getting better, (booster straps are slowly preventing shinbang, next year i might just go back to a random pair of salomon 4 buckle boots.

but seriously you tried the boot one year and didnt like them, dont go back to a new pair for at least 400 bucks, i know its true this boot works well for alot of people but its not meant for everyone, try some diffrent kinds or spk's again but you shouldnt buy a boots because alot of pros are wearing them, also because im sure alot of your friends have them but you should buy boots because they work for you!

I love my FTs but they fit my feet great. If the boot doesnt work for you dont buy it. buy the boot that fits your feet it doesnt matter what they really look like. comfort matters more
