Help me figure out what to do for my programming summative. +k

So my grade 11 programming class summative is due at the end of January. I've decided to restart because my current one is shit. Basically, it has to look nice/colourful and use pictures, sounds, random numbers, a timer, and data files.
At least, that's what the rubric says.
My teacher is actually a really chill dude, and i'm pretty sure aesthetics/user friendliness are the only things i care about. However, I'm terrible at both.
But never mind that. What I need to start of are ideas; what are some kickass games that I can program for my summative? If it ends up being playable, I'll post a download file to the .exe :) any suggestions are appreciated!

Honest to god I could not muster the concentration to read your OP.......that gif...that fucking gif.  However, if you want to create a game, further information would be helpful.  For example, what language did you want to create the game in? How much experience do you have with programming?

yeah, i predicted as much haha. anyway, we're using turing because i live in ontario. aaaaand a fair bit i suppose

Never heard of turing....I only have a year of programming experience.  But with that experience I was able to mimic a little game called space invaders.  Might want to try that...it's a relatively simple game to create

Make a side-scroller of a little bird that has to make it home before it gets dark. Make the sky slowly turn dark and put a bunch of shit that the bird has to avoid

i was thinking of some sort of platformer, yeah. +k given.
it's kind of annoying how stupid processes are in turing though. that means you have to check for input, do all the timer stuff and make everything move in one loop one after the other
but lol i guess i'll have to deal with it XD thanks for the idea!
