Well it's also incredibly dry and ceral as fuck all the time too but yes, as far as the technical side of skiing and PSIA-type nitpicking on form, etc. they have a ton of helpful and informative info. It's pretty much like hanging out with your parents- lots of good experience to share but it's just so boring you can't stay there too long or you'll pass away from sheer boredom.
Actually I probably shouldn't say this in NSG but the only lesson I ever took was one of their camps a few years back. Got a world-class coach for the weekend and it seriously changed every aspect of how I ski- seriously it changed my life. Nice people too, most can party as well but some of course are classic elitist ski douches as you'd probably expect.
They are incredibly easy to troll if you watch for a while first though, since so many are still in the "rocker is bullshit" school of thought and are just cranky old people in general that are mad kids are out skiing "their" pow as funny as that sounds. When news of the DPS spoon came out, I think there may have been a few suicides. If Roddy and Sloth are smart, they'll just make a thread about helmets, rocker, or helmets with rocker and people there will shit bricks sideways for the next 3 weeks over it.
I'm totally trolling them later, but I'm grandfathered in since I have been trolling them for YEARS.
For some reason I made an account on there even before I had an NS account. Never posted though - really no idea why I made it. Anyone want to purchase a 6-7 year old epicski account? Think of how prestigious it would be to have a brand new account with zero posts that was created before most members were on the site...Say $50?
Full disclosure: No idea what the username is. Probably something like BumpyMogulSkier or SpreadEaglesForever.
