so I have pretty bad posture, and my back is usually sore, and I want to fix this. I know what lifts can build muscles in your back, but I am looking for ones that are essentially idiot proof, so that I can be sure that I have proper posture both regularly and when working out etc. does anyone have any ideas? I tried google, but it was a little hard to word
Step 1: Improve your posture. Work out all you want, your back is going to hurt if you slouch like you have a rubber spine.

Step 2: Lifting. Definitely do not over do weight on any exercise and make sure you use good form. You can lift a ridiculous amount if you throw your whole body into it, and then you'll blow your back out for sure. Hyperextensions, light deadlifting, rows (cable machine or dumbell, or both...), lat pulldowns, wide grip pullups.
