I really like EOS. I enjoy watching it more than most of the recent movies that have come out. I only saw Sunny once. It was okay, but then again I dont really remember it. Its funny to me how many people hate on the editing of EOS and then will go bitch about how all ski movies are the same. Was some of the editing kind of crazy? Yes. Was it as bad as a lot of people are making out to be? Absolutely not. It was different and I enjoyed it.
in EOS the editing got more simple and easier to follow as the movie went on. in my mind simpler the better and thats why henriks was my favorite segment and was probably the best seggy of the year
sunny was superior to EOS, i think it was the best, 86 was good but i feel like its just too much urban, if there was more park and stuff then eighty six would have been number one for sure.
I really enjoyed both a lot, however, it's tough as a baseline argument to make a comparison of a film featuring 3 skiers vs. a film that features a dozen solid segments (or more, not sure on total number here but you get my point). EOS has it's own original feel which i think is what they were going for compared to the other usual crop of films. Henrik kills obviously but Sunny had tons of great segments too. I guess my point is quality vs. quantity is tough to judge here, regardless of whatever bullshit editing you think you may have witnessed. If you ever watched any B & E I think you should've been smart enough to expect something along those lines with Phil's segment
Sunny was definitely a better movie then EoS. The one part I didn't like about The Eighty Six was pretty much everybody had a shared part except Cam and Clayton. It felt like a long edit filled with primarily bangers. The movie of the year for myself was Act Natural. I loved how it had a variety of different styles between all the riders, it didn't have a bad or boring segment. Get Act Natural OP!
