I searchbarred this and found nothing so I am looking for help and advice here. I have dual lens goggles and I am having a problem with fog in between the lenses, this means I cannot wipe them off. If I put them in my pocket they will clear up but as soon as I put them on they fog right back up. An old guy on the lift told me they were probably ruined and I would never be able to dry them out. I am planing to try using a hair dryer on them. Any input or suggestions? +K for help
i had a similar problem with an airbrake lens
it turned out that the two lenses were peeling apart a bit, so the lens was pretty much no good after that.
Try and dry it out, make sure the lenses arent separated or the lens may be toast
+K and thanks guys, they're definitely not peeling apart, I have only skied them 5 days and they are mid level smiths so the lens doesn't come out of the frame, hopefully they work out...
What goggles are they? Almost all smiths have removable lenses.
I get condesation between my lenses, and just leaving them out of their bag in my house overnight clears them out everytime. If you really have substantial amounts of water in there though... that's a whole difffernt story
Let them dry out at the end of the day. Happens to goggles from any brand. It happens alot if you are skiing and it is snowing. I made the mistake of thinking my Spy Soldiers were ruined and sold them when in reality they just needed to be taken out of my bag at the end of the day.
They are Scope's I think the problem happened because I had a really wet day and I left them in their bag in my boot for two days...you don't notice any water in them until they fog though, does the lens just pop out of the frame?
Yeah. And what is probably happening is they fog up, and they defog, but the water doesn't completely evaporate. Take the lens out and let them dry for a while so there is no water left
This WILL HAPPEN EVERY TIME you leave them in a cold car overnight. Always keep your goggles warm and dry or they will do that in minutes and be damn neear impossible to fix.
