They just updated their Facebook status saying they got word from iTunes and it will be released the last week in January.

Finally. Does anyone know if iTunes has >720p resolution yet?

Most movies and TV shows are available in 1080p on iTunes but it defaults to 720p you just need to change it in the settings.
