Hey guys so yesterday I got my new saga hoodie stolen right out of my bag at Sunday river, I know it's not like that expensive of an item, but it still pisses me off. Someone would have had to deliberately look through my stuff and take it. Like what kind of fags steal someone else shit? It just pisses me off, anyone else have issues with kids stealing their gear or clothes

I can see stealing gum or candy, stealing from a store, or stealing to help someone out but not other people's personal stuff that they bought. I just see it as.... more fucked up. That just shows how fucked up I am

Few years ago, 2 guys I know both got there brand new boards stolen opening day after quickly popping into the lodge to go to the washroom, I couldn't believe it, just ridiculous

reminds me of a thread where this kid started talking about how everybody steals poles. the thread was about buying or making poles and the kid was like just steal a pair everybody does it. he got shit on so hard by everybody

Rumor has it that two guys pulled up to Mt. Creek in a van a couple years back and stole about 30-40 skis and snowboards at once. I remember being there the day after and everyone was talking about it. I'm sure Mt.Creek didn't mind because they probably made bank in their shops and rental places.

Fucking sucks! I had my backpack stolen with a lot of stuff in it last week, with personal stuff, gifts and expensive things I bought.

People don't realize what they are doing when they steal something like this,
it totally threw me off track for a few days and made me feel like shit!
and so much effort, had to go to the police and report it and then try and claim everything with insurance, just cause some bastard thought it would be fun.
fucking pisses me off! and you can't do anything about it!

this season i got my poles and goggles stolen. i felt bad for the poles cause my brother saved p for them for my christmas present, they were $55 line pins. my goggles were for my birthday, so i feel bad for my parents. i got some cheap $25 poles and $40goggles. i think they're the cheapest smith goggles. and i just covered the poles in stickers so whatever. i don't usually ride with poles anyways.

It sucks so bad when people get their stuff stolen, one of my friends had his board stolen during the night before Christmas at his hotel in Whistler. It sucked but fortunately he was able to get a new one, its even worse when you save up money to buy something, get it stolen and then can't afford to replace it.

The thing that makes this kind of thinking of problem is that
a. someone (namely the store owner) did pay for that as an investment to sell for profit to support himself/family.
b. what if someone stole OP's new sweater because they found an abandoned baby on the bunny hill?
unlikely; yes but its "possible"

where do you draw the line? when is helping someone out/yourself out more important than someones goods that they purchased? how do you know they dont need it as much as you?

I get what your trying to say and I think its right, its just hard to justify, in a sense.

I feel you man, I got a new golf club (yes I golf) and it was a really great wedge that cost $135 that my grandpa got for me for my birthday. I loved it like no other, had it for about 2 weeks (only got to play with it about 3 or 4 times) then when i went golfing and set my clubs outside the club house to go pay, someone jacked it.
It hurt knowing that someone just went through my clubs, picked out one they wanted, and just took it. I had a connection with it and it's more than just money stollen, it was a gift to me from my grandpa and telling him that it got stolen was the hardest thing, especially as he asked "so how are you liking the new club".

In all honesty, if you steal, please.. think twice before you do because for some people it means more to them than just an object for face value.

I don't understand how someone could steal something. Especially things you wear like clothes, sunglasses and goggles. How can someone wear someone else's stuff? Theft is probably my biggest pet peeve, it really grinds my gears.

People who steal are the lowest of the low.

Had my goggles stolen a couple years ago by some rich 13 year old kid. I got them back the same day because one of my friends remembered what he looked like, but I was so fucking pissed that someone would do that. I guess flipping out at his brigade instructor helped a little bit after she told me "THESE KIDS ARE WEALTHY, THEY DONT NEED TO STEAL!" as soon as I accused the kid of stealing them

Stealing small items from a store is one thing, but stealing from an individual is completely different. I had a bag stolen when I was on a school ski trip a few years back, had a brand new level 1 x jiberish collab in it that I had just gotten for christmas a week earlier, a pair of crowbars and a pair of nike sb's along with some other things in it. Like another person said you have no idea if something has sentimental value to someone and losing that can be devestating. I also had my ipod stolen in school last year and I flipped the fuck out cause music is one thing that helps me get through the day and without it i'm usually a pretty pissed off person. So to op I dont know why people steal shit from others but it is definitely a fucked up thing to do.

I'm so paranoid about getting anything stolen that I take my skis inside with me when I eat. Haven't gotten anything stolen yet, but then again, I don't ski at massive resorts. Locks act as more of a deterrent than an absolute security device too. And no, stealing "gum or candy" is fucking stupid too. If you can't pay $1.25 for some Fun Dip, your life is headed in the wrong direction.

I had my $150 headphones stolen out of my coat at work about 2 months ago. I'm a firefighter and had just come on shift, I was locking my shit away when we got a shout to a fire. So I rushed out to deal with that and left my coat hanging up and my headphones in the pocket. When I came back the headphones had gone along with some others peoples stuff. So whilst i was putting out a fire, someone came into the station and went through my belongings and stole stuff. What the actual fuck!? It still really pisses me off to think about it. DON'T STEAL OTHER PEOPLE'S STUFF!

Contact public security and they should be able to help you out. They should have footage of the person stealing. Most of the time its faces that public security know about. Call (207)824-3000 and ask to be put through public security.

I had a jacket when I was 12 that I had received a few weeks previous as a Christmas present and it was stolen from me while I was in the lodge with it. I went to get food or go to the bathroom or something and I came back and it was gone. Needless to say I was pretty bummed.

I've been lucky to avoid having any big ticket items like skis or boots stolen (knock on wood), but it still sucks and it's really unfortunate that people stoop to that level.

Last year at holiday valley I remember I had just gotten new poles that had cost me around $110 (I now know not to buy nice and/or fancy poles). About midway through the day I went into the lodge to get a snack and when I came back out they were gone and I was pissed. After that I went to the rental place and asked to borrow some rental poles, but the fat bitch working there would't let me; so I went without poles for the next two hours until the yellow jacket safety squad dicks cut my pass for riding in the trees. It was not a good day for me or my poles. /coolstory
