I was sending a lil' 20 foot cliff up near Galena Summit and impacted into a rock on the landing. Took the main hit on my elbow about halfway through December. Ended up with a fractured/dislocated arm, and this is the aftermath X-Ray. Got surgery that night, one doctor pulled it back into place but it was being a bit pesky and wouldn't stay in, so ER Surgeon took care of it right away... wasn't that fun at all.
It now looks like this. Two pins and a figure 8 wire holding my elbow together! Woo!
Got another 3-5 weeks till I'm back enjoying the BC, I'm going a little stir crazy posted up indoors as I'm usually trying to get after it almost everyday. Guess there's always a price to pay. Extremely grateful for my friend who has his WFR, he stabilized my arm with his first aid kit and my buddies got me out to the car super quick. I wasn't wearing a helmet like a dumbass and hit my head really hard on a rock as well but was very lucky that I didn't loose consciousness or suffer from any brain/head injuries. Bummed out, but it could've been way worse I'm glad I'm alive, can walk, and I'll be back on the skiing slay soon!
Also wanted to share a video with a few shots I had gotten before my injury... all filmed this year in the Idaho BC from late November to early December 12/13. Check it out, hope you enjoy, and wishing everyone a safe and fun season out there! Cheers! See y'all soon in those pretty mountains!
