Why does my pointer finger hurt so damn much

Ok so NS I really need your help

The tip top of my pointer finger really fucking hurts if it touches anything and I dont know why!! I don't remember falling on it skiing or anything like that.. It's been a couple days now.

inb4 soak it in bleach

This could be a felon. A felon is an infection of the soft tissue at the fingertip.
An infection of the fingertip can lead to an abscess, which creates pressure and death of nearby finger tip tissues. The fingertip becomes very swollen and firm with intense throbbing pain. Minor felons may be treated with warm soaks several times a day to increase blood flow. An antibiotic is usually needed. Treatment may require prompt surgical drainage of the abscess as well.

I dont know, you might loose a finger and all the tissue. Just soak it in warm water a few times a day for like a week and if it still hurts after that then I would go to the doc.

Sounds to me like the aids virus, I am a doctor (for all you know). For real though, go to a real doctor because they know more than a bunch of stoned kids on ns.

If this is what I think it is, I get them all the time. What I get is a really sensative stop on my finger on the skin where my nail is, usually around the corner. It turns green after a while, and lasts for about a week. I've heard people say that it is and ingrown finger/toenail, but it goes away so idk. Basically when I get this, it hurts so fucking bad to touch anything with that part of my finger. You said that it was the tip of your finger, so idk if it is the same. If it isn't ingrown, than its probaby THE AIDS

have you been skiing? are you wearing warm enough gloves, or gloves at all? i have been skiing without gloves for the past few days ive rode, and while at the time my hands have seemed fine, an hour or two after i have had really sensitive fingertips from what i assume was the cold/me not noticing it.

Lol we took the band aide/gauze shit off my finger today and I finally got to see what he did... Under my finger nail (half of it) is hollow and cut up, word!


inb4 post pics tomorrow when I can take the next set of band-aids off!

Staph infection sucks dude. I had a staph infection on my knee that looked like a volcano. The doctor told me to let it break on it's own. When it finally erupted I saw every color of the eruption. It was pretty funky. Eight years later, I still have a scar.

If it is noticeably nasty then I would go to the doctor right now. If it's just throbbing and maybe a little swollen, give it a little while, but if it gets worse then definitely go to a doctor.

Oh and new update: It's not staph.... Much worse; MRSA Infection! Gonna have to go back soon and get more medications!

So it's pretty much Staph on steroids.... Common antibiotics (like the ones I got) are immune to it...

We think it was a spider, but we do not know for sure. I didn't tell my parents for a week and on my birthday it was bothering me so I mentioned it. They freaked out, brought me to the doctor, he freaked out, and got me on some antibiotics pronto.
