This one guy at my highschool has been making music for a while now but he never has a video to go along with it. I talked to him about it and he said he would be interested in paying me for one. I had no clue what to tell him when it came down to prices. What do you guys normally charge? I know that this could be a pretty big project for me, both shooting and postproduction wise. Remember that this is a very low level musician that only gets around 4,000 views on all his videos, and is just looking to raise that with a better video. Thanks M&A!

start by asking what his budget is and what he wants for a project, then figure out how much work it will be for you, and you should be able to work towards a reasonable number. If he wants something simple, like cutting between 2 static angles and a few glide cams of him, that would be a lot easier than something involving tons of people acting out parts of the song etc.

I was doing this alittle. He said he wanted multiple shots in the winter and the summer. When I asked about his budget he said that I should offer a price first. Also he just wants video of himself I think.
