Moose are nuthin ta fuck wit.

I've seen a lot of other animals but never run into a moose on the slopes. Pretty wild shit. Almost hit a deer once.

Reminds me when me and Granite_State hiked tucks and practically ran into a moose on the way down.

similar thing happened to me at Jackson. Came around a sharp left turn on a cat track (inbounds) and I was literally, less than 3 ft, face to face with a moose. Turned around to yell "moose!" to my friends behind me. Looked back at the moose and it was running away from me.

I've had a run in with a moose while skiing before. popped out of the trees onto the cat track at the bottom to meet a moose heading up into the trees. I'm just happy I ran into it on the cat track and not while actually skiing in the trees.


I spend my summers working in the bush and I come across moose a few times a year, I don't trust those fuckers. One year I came across a baby moose that kept fallowing me - but that's a story for another time.

Nothing irrational at all about a healthy fear of moose. Those things are massive, and in the story of Moose vs. Human we know who wins. (Well given both armed only with what they were born with.

a few weeks ago at my fish counting camp a moose ran full speed through camp and then a few seconds later a grizzly came charging after it but once it realized it was in camp, it stopped, stood up, looked around, and then ran away shitting blueberries. thread title and content reminded me.

I was coming down a trail after biking to the top and saw a two baby cubs run across the trail.

It wasn't that scary since we were going down and could have gotten away if the mom found us, but if we were going up... fucking would have lost all control in the shit category. Going up hill on mountain bikes is slow and we were in the middle of nowhere. Would have been no bueno for sure.


Felt like this was relevant.

Moose aint nothing to fuck with. A protective mother moose is one of the most dangerous things out in the woods. that and protective grizzly mamas can get crazy on ya quick. i live in montana and see moose and bears ( black bear and grizzly bears ) quite often. in all the years of hiking and hunting and fishing round montana, i can happily and gladly say ive never been caught in a bad situation with wild life. thank god. thing that scares me the most when you in the woods are mountain lions, now those things are scary, youll be torn apart before you even see where the cat was comming from. sometimes i get a feeeling in the woods like something is watching me, haha so ya big cats scare me the most. but damn that was a wild ass video for sure. haha

I'm a snowmobile guide during the winter and the LAST day with the LAST group I took out for the season, we had a moose come at us. Of course I tried to keep somewhat cool to keep everyone calm. One of the girls ask if she can go pet it and get a picture..? I pretty much yelled at her HELL NO! Don't fuck with a moose.

I get that feeling a lot hiking up here too, I never go on a hike without a gun and my dog. Cat bites and claws fucking hurt, so you can only imagine what a human size cat could do.

AGAIN yesterday during my hike in Millcreek canyon, the 2 girls I went with went out wondering for a moose so they could PET IT.One of them argued for 10 minutes saying that moose won't attack you because they aren't aggressive animals..
