Why dont horse people have to clean up their horses shit?
dogs poop all the time and their owners for the most part are made to pick it up, or at least frowned upon when they don't. why is it so different with horses? i hate it when i go for a run and there is horse shit everywhere, yes its easy enough to manoeuvre around but there are odd times where i wont see it and and bam horse shit. please people if you have an animal and take it into public and it poops, clean it up.
I poop wherever I want. Generally in the middle of jogging trails and then I sit in the woulds and touch myself when joggers freak out that they stepped in it.
Are you joking? I don't even own the horse I ride and I have been shovelling her shit and cleaning other horse stalls since I was an eight year old. A lot of people can't straight up pay for it - I work at my barn and have a part time job to pay for my lessons and lease. It's an expensive passion.
there are plenty of people who love horses but can't afford full board for them-- that means they need to go to the barn to shovel multiple mounds of shit, 365 days a year.
also, my best guess at the answer to your question is that horse shit is essentially pure grass, doesn't smell unless it gets and stays wet, and decomposes very quickly (and is good for the earth when it does)
I work on a farm that grows, harvests, and sells hay and from my experience with horse ladies I've found they love their horses more than their husbands and the husbands are usually the ones funding the passion. Have you found that too?
yeah i mean its so much better to pick it up, put it in a a plastic bag, and through it away. It makes no fuckin sense, fuck you i hope you step in my dogs shit.
Yeah I've seen a lot of older ladies who enjoy spending their husband's $$$ on their horse, but I have also seen people who work in the barn 7 days a week to pay for their horse. I don't have a rich husband so I have to pay for the privilege of riding the horse I lease on my own.
Well the point is, stay off the public walking trails if you cant keep your horse from shitting all over the place. In my town they let the horses in the watershed preserve, they shit all over everything and you go home for a tall glass of ice cold pristine tap water and all you do is wonder how many horseshit particles made it into your mouth just now.
Well that sucks for you, here they don't let any animals outside of service animals (and wild animals obviously) into watershed areas. But at any rate, if horses are allowed there then you either need to just deal with it or go somewhere else, because that's the way it is. I guess they think it's just too much of a hassle and isn't really enforceable to make it a rule like they can with dogs. I mean come on, no one is going to bring a shovel and what, a couple of hefty bags along with them on a trail ride to haul it 10 miles out of there. Not logically gonna happen.
im sorry are horses made of fucking glass? you can just strap the bags of poo to your horse and hey if your to lazy to make your horse carry its own shit and then spread it out all over your own fuckin ride about barn then either dont leave your barn so they just shit there and then you dont have to worry about it or buy a fuckin merry go round
Yeah it's mostly the older women that are like that. Most people under 30 or so (again in general from my experience) have their own business out of it like having a ranch for other people to board their horses or lessons and such.
horse people are so into their horses that they don't think the shit is all that gross. most of them would probably pick it up with their bare hands. its like people who share their ice cream cones with their dogs and stuff. so they probably think that you shouldnt mind that its left on the trail--that its organic and natural.
im from westchester ny and know 4 girls who ride horses their dads paid for all of them. 99% of people who own a horse are from a rich family that have there fathers pay for everything.
horse shit doesn't really smell bad and is pretty much entirely grass/hay. Not to mention it's hardly possible to clean up after your horse if it happens when you're riding it and you'd need a rucksack and a shovel to clean it up and carry. It's not sticky and awful smelling like dog shit
HORSES FUCKING SUCK.My mom had a horse for like 15 years and it was fucking terrible. Literally everything smells like asshole all the time, fucking hay all over the place, it's not even fun because if your ride them for more than 30 minutes you feel like you got thrown down a mountainside, and they have no spatial awareness.
I don't understand how you knowing four girls who horseback ride turned into 99% of people who own a horse are rich and have their fathers pay for everything... Seriously if you had any knowledge of horses / horse industry then you would know that this is not the case. You're just as annoying as pricks who assume that skiing is only for wealthy people. And learn the fucking difference between "their, they're, and there."
