Red Bull is best drank with a full stomach. Taurine is used to eliminate the waste products from whatever you might eat and provide energy.
However, if you drink too much of it on an empty stomach you will get serious stomach cramps. That is the Taurine eating away at your stomach lining, because there is nothing there to absorb it. It's not lethal or anything, just gives you bad cramps.

I always drank red bull with vodka until i knew that is very very bad. The red bull is a stimulating and therefore if you take it every day you can have heart problems although if it is only one neither it is so serious
It is also said that it is quite bad for the liver. If you can avoid it, you should drink it in alone special occasions.

red bull technically is bad for you but you just have to liit what you drink of it. just like anything else ( but a bit worse). with alcohol it harshly fucks you up. my cousin is a doctor in London england and he has had multiple patients die from red bull and vodka. it puts too big of a shock on your body. he has also had people die from drinking too much red bull in one night, no alcohol involved. that was obviously a rare case and wont happen to most people but red bull does has extreme effects on your body. just lke acohol.

red bull is not from bull seamen, the amino acid taurine was first discovered in it though. it is a naturaly occuring amino acid that in times of stress of tiredness, it is depleated. Red Bull is a formula made for a person who is 150 pounds, so in reallity you should only drink 1 can or a bit more to get the effects of it. also it only has as much caffine as a cup of coffee. Also Red Bull is NOT something you should drink if you are thirsty. many people drink red bull when they shouldn't. it WILL dehidrate you, and this whole it makes you die, isn't true. typicly it is something else that leads to the person dying, and Red Bull isn't a direct corilation to the death. I personaly drink a lot of Red Bull, but i also drink TONS of water, cause most people are dehidrated all the time, so EVERYBODY should drink more water.

but all in all Red Bull should only be had when you need one, and not just to have one. if you drink one whe you need it you will notice the effects, but if you have no need for the taurine, you won't really feel the actual effecst that Red Bull is intended for.

i read in one of my biking magazines that red bull has the same ammount of caffine as one cup of coffee and the same amout of sugar as in any soda.

^ like i said above. and they only tell you not to mix it with booze, cause they don't want to sell it based on drinking. it is an energy drink NOT a mixer. they get really pissed off if you ask for a red bull vodka and you don't get redbull, but something else. trust me they know people mix it with booze, and they support it.

ya i dont get affected by caffeine and otehr stimulants so it doesnt do much to me. caffeine isnt the active ingredient in rd bull though. like they said its taurine. and red bull is the cause of death in those cases i said. thats like saying smoking doesnt kill people its the cancer. it takes a toll on you r body and some poeple cant take it

Ok let me explain the facts here. To give you a little credibility I just finished a research paper on the effects of Taurine.
First and foremost, Red bull has no animal products in it. The reason people think red bull is somehow related it actual bulls, is because Taurine was first discovered in the Bile of Bulls. Now it is synthetically produced. The main ingredients in Red Bull are nothing but Caffeine and Sugar. The reason there is speculation over the drink is because of taurine. Taurine is an amino acid that is produced naturally in the body. The Benefits of taurine are mostly theoretical at the time and results are still inconclusive for the most part. Taurine is known to decrease blood pressure. On the other hand caffeine increases blood pressure so theoretically they are suppose to balance each other out. Red Bull is considered skeptical by some people because the supplementation of taurine is still unknown and is believed to be similar to creatine. The only real contemplation that the Red Bull has is the amount of Taurine in Red Bull. There is something like 2X the daily recommendations of taurine in Red Bull then is suggested. The affects of this is unknown but no research suggests that its harmful, its just not know if the extra taurine is beneficial.
When combined with alcohol it can be considered deadly but that is because caffeine is a stimulant and itâ€™s dangerous to mix stimulants with alcohol. 3 deaths were reported after mixing red bull and vodka but no connection to the deaths were made because of it.
