Replying to Line Afterbangs - Any good outside the park?

Hey all, newbie here. Been lurking for a while but this is my first post. To cut a long story short, I recently moved house and somehow my Armada El Rey's were snapped in the process. The removal company are saying it's not their fault but either way its going to be 6+ weeks before I can get the skis replaced on insurance. I can't afford to buy new skis having just spent $5k on moving house, I have about $150 to my name :( I go to Vail in 4 weeks and all I'm left with is my Afterbangs. Has anyone skiied these outside the park? I plan on splitting my time 50/50 between park and piste. Aside from from the A-bangs being hella slow, has anyone had any issues with skiing them on piste? I don't really want to spend money on rentals but obviously I want to have a good time so if the Afterbangs suck i'd rather try and figure something out now and not waste a day when i'm out there. Thoughts?
