So supposedly MSP is about to embark on a huge two year project with quite the budget behind them. The raddest ski movie of all time is on the horizon my friends. Hopefully it is ten times sicker than Art of Flight! Thoughts?

good!! I was so pissed after i watched attack of la nina and saw that they filmed at Alyeska and Meadow Lodge two years in a row... this could mean redemption for MSP

this goes for about any ski movie. always the typical 'the feeling I get from skiing, I wouldn't trade it for anything'. sorta like the 'yea, I mean, just gotta go out there next period and keep my feet moving, stick on the ice, head up, and put some shots on net' that hockey players say. It's rather embarrassing to watch sometimes.

I have to disagree with you on that one. I feel that you can watch people charge huge lines, ski through trees, drop through pillow lines, or shred some urban in almost any edit online. The point of a ski movie is to go deeper than the shot and see what goes into making these films and to hear from the skiers and their point of view.

"movies" made like PBP or Level 1 with segment after segment just feel like watching a bunch of individual edits one after another. It almost gets boring after a while. The quality of skiing is still just as good as any other movie but its no more than that. Hearing what the skier/filmer has to say about it adds in another level and makes it more interesting.

This is just my opinion and you're certainly entitled to your own.

I definitely agree with you about having the added emphasis on ideas and thoughts behind the story. But what I mean is, that if you watch all the TGR and MSP films they're always doing really gay shit which I don't know if they think they're being funny but they're totally not.

Red Bull's snowboard video they came out with a year or so ago.  Had a big budget and made every dollar count.  Such a sick movie.

.Wait, so hearing that a lame production company is making a two year movie that will presumably be twice as long, twice as boring, and have twice as many skip-segments is supposed to get me hyped?

Yaaaaa, I can't wait to black out that premier for that it's gonna be cool. I hope they save some of the budget for the bar tab

I think Field Productions is doing that this year. Two year projects are great as it spreads out the process and allows so many more choices for the film. Awesome news, if in fact they found someone to pay for it. They have a big standard to meet after Art of Flight.
