IPhone wifi help

I have a 3gs running on 5.1.1 with redsn0w, and recently (around a week ago) it refused to connect to any wifi network with a password. Unprotected networks connect just fine, so I can't find any help for my specific issue. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the jailbreak since I did that a little over a month ago...

well nothing that I've found on google in the past week has worked, and I don't really want to email apple about this since its jailbroken.

shit happens when you jailbreak. When jailbreaking, things completely unrelated to something you just installed will crash. Go through everything you installed and unistall it till you find the issue. You can download a crash log and try to find the error that way too. If that doesnt work just re-install redsnow. Your screw holding down the wifi antenna could be also be loose. If none of those fix it then its broken.

It's not just my wifi that I can't connect to, it's basically any protected network. Also, I haven't downloaded anything from cydia in a while, nor have I ever installed any major tweaks so I really have no idea what the source of the problem is

just reinstall redsn0w and all your problems will go away and use aptbackup before
