Ha no. Best riders at valley>>>best riders at peek. Valley could do better and peak has done a great job but they haven't had a real jump at peek in over 10 years

I agree that HV's park blows, especially when it comes to actually maintaining the features. And yeah pknpk is fun, but most of its stuff is fairly small. Bristol, on the other hand, has an incredible park once you past how douchy everyone is.

Parks are for D bags, well not really, but the ppl that climb back up the hill = total D bags.

Even bigger D bags, are D Bags waiting to hit a jump, but never actually hit it, making it look like a D bag festival if premature D bagulators.

Their attitude towards the park is absolutely abysmal, and yet they defend it and think its ok because they are mentioned in magazines and contests for their "amazingly creative" features like the VW car box, seesaw box, and the dragon box. In reality, while cool for maybe a 10 year old, these features are impractical wastes of space that any real park rider will avoid like the plague.

I like it because of the runs. In wny, you get no flow. Both kb and holiday are/were bs because you get 3-5 hits a run. That's it. At least at holimont you get 7-10 no matter how shit some of them are. I appreciate how they make use of their space. However, the vwbox killed my knees, so fuck that.

Pknpk wins though. I've never had so much fun in this area in a park the few times I've been there.

Ive skied at holimont since I was a little guy and have gotten just about nowhere with making improvements to the park, despite a fuck ton of effort when i was in high school. Ive given up on any hope of there being a legit park there, its just not going to happen. For park, you just have to go elsewhere unfortunately.

-The park crew is made of a bunch of hill billies that neither ski nor snowboard
..... I'll give them some credit for their metalwork skills, but they have no knowledge base from which they can apply those skills to make something that is actually fitting for a (real) park
-Management does not have an intend to fund/ hiring people related to the park
-MGMT regards the park as for children... and no one else... and designs it as such
-insurance at holimont it pretty restrictive of what can be made. No "gap-on rails" and no jumps in which you can be greater than 5 feet in the air

trees go unskied for days and days... and if you know where to go they are often pretty open and steep too.... not bad tree skiing at all

In what way? A perfectly maintained park with multiple clean booters and a bunch of very clean rail setups, let alone a pipe that is actually cut more than once a season sounds pretty great to me...

they've cleared out the underbrush in a lot of areas: greer, punchbowl, snowbird, sunset to name a few...untouched powder (east coast "powder") can be found 3 or 4 days after it snows which is rad. people have also built wooden jibs in the trees which are sketchy as fuck but kind of fun.

i spotted some of those jibs that are in the woods on the skiers right of sunset, looks pretty sick. Skiers right of greer isnt bad if you get over far enough (and is NEVER touched)

the pipe is on almost flat ground

all the rails are ride on, or set up completely ridiculously.

the large jump they build each year is OK but the rest of the jumps are generally shit and sometimes scary.
