I a 6ft 215 pound advanced skier looking for my next pow ski. i like the width and flex of the chopsticks as well as the graphics. But i like the poppyness and charging power of the magic js. any suggestions?
Volkl has and always will make a better ski than armada. Your a big guy, volkl makes stocky, full sidewall skis for strong skiers. Armada makes questionable cap skis for skinny park skiers who questionably know how to ski.
I believe Volkl replaced the chopstick with the shiro, so check those out. They also come in a 203 which is fucking sick, i'd definitely check that size out at your weight.
If they don't make the Chopstick anymore and you are still looking for a stuff, symmetrical pow ski, I would look into the Surface New Life. I can't speak for them myself, but I've heard nothing but good things and have a pair on the way. They come in a 194cm length if you are looking for something longer.
Shiro is a totally different ski and it came out the year before they stopped making the chopstick. Shiro is more for ripping big mtn and pow going forward.
I fucking love my Volkls. I feel like I can jump off anything on them and they charge so hard. Not a fan of Armada's. Theyre just too damp for my liking
