I need your help Catching a scumbag

So there is this kid in my gym class that stole my phone in the locker room a month ago. I talk to my dean and friends and there was nothing they could do due to the fact that there was no evidence as to who had taken it. I had a good idea who might have stole it and most people I know agree with me. Today my friend had his phone stolen in the locker room during wrestling and again, the same kid is suspected but we can't do anything because we have no evidence. Do you guys have any idea as to how we could get evidence to prove it was this kid? Thanks guys

No idea how to catch him, but why not just leave your phone in your locker where it is not going to be stolen? Do you really need your phone in phys ed?

confront the kid about it, say you saw him taking the phones and get your phones back? If he doesnt give them back stab him.

Get a group of like 5-12 tough guys, then approach him when he is least expecting it and have the tough guys beat him up until he gives you your phone or tells you where it is.

I have gym last period and once I'm done I can leave in gym clothes rather than getting back in my short and tie uniform. And my phone wasn't in plain sight, it was in my pants in a locker (none of the lockers lock) but I tried confronting him and he'll deny it. And I need proof before I start using physical reasoning.

I'm sorry I should've worded that better. He did deny it every time he was asked. Not just by me. By anyone. So having him question by the dean or anything doesn't work.

See if your phone company can track it, almost every cellular device has a gps in it. Mine still works even though i dont have a plan for the phone anymore.
