Big terrain parks, believe it or not, draw just as much in tourist dollars as lessons and nice hotel rooms.
More gapers ski 5 feet up the walls of my home mountains superpipe in an hour than a weeks worth of park rats who can air out of the pipe. Don't even try to take a lap through our rail parks, they're family runs so mommy and daddy can watch little jimmy sidejump off every lip for every rail. And the most serious carvers prefer the landings of our big jump line because they're the steepest, best groomed slopes on the hill.
I can hate all I want, but the people who ruin terrain parks are the ones who are paying for them...
