I'm hoping someone here has a solution. My droid recognizes the hero3 wifi and says it's connected, but the wifi symbol on my phone stays white instead of blue. I've heard of routers having this issue with android phones, but that fix involves switching the routers output to 'g' only, which you obviously can't do with a gopro. Maybe I'm missing something really simple (hopefully). Thanks
isnt it wifi? granted this video uses the hero2 with wifi bacpac, the hero3 has that built in. I did all of the firmware updates and everything seems to work fine except the bars never turn blue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RTYouZhepSU
haha yes the wifi is on. it is recognized by the phone, i named the signal and connect with my password (seemingly successfully). it shows signal strength, etc but then will not turn blue (the symbol literally turns from white to blue). It's similar to when it says youre connected on a pc but then you cant open your browser... except I know ways to fix that haha.
