Armada AR7 or Armada El Rey, any advice/tips?

Hey all,

in the market for new skiis. Currently i have a pair of 2006 K2 Fujatives, which are great, but theyve gotten pretty beat up, and its time for some new ones.

Im 5'9, 155lbs.

i ski mostly east coast because that is where I live so I'm used to alot of groomers, but I get in the park when i can, and am planning trips for out west.

can anyone point me in the direction of the right decision between the ar7 vs the el rey

Well the AR7's are more of a park ski while the El Rey is more of an all mountain ski so it would do a bit better in the pow pow. I would say that you should go with the AR7's because you hit the park a fair bit. They can hit the park with tons of pop and still ski the icy groomers real well, although they are on the stiffer side of park skis. I have the AR7's and ski the same way you do and I absolutely love them in the park and they are great on the groomers as well.

ar7 is more stiff, other than that theyre pretty much the same ski. I love me my el reys

I bought ar7 And after 3 days of park the edge already got two little crack...

That's what happens when you bang them on rails. Get used to it, park skis take a beating, its not their ability to remain pristine that makes them durable, but their ability to remain usable.
