Replying to How skiing has changed through the years

Recently I've been looking through a bunch of old pictures of my home mountain and how fun the park used to look with sketchy rails and huge features. Also in all the pictures the people who were really good back then just looked like what we would call today "gapers." In videos in the past it looks like everyone is having so much fun and just having a good time not worrying about how they look or what other people think. I feel like nowadays all anybody cares about is how they look or what music they're listening too. Its almost like theres no soul in skiing anymore and its all about style and looks. Im sure there are still cool people out there who just do it for fun but the majority of the skiing scene just seems so fake and shallow to me. I just wish skiing could go back to the way it used to be i guess.
