So I am using iMovie and I want to know if I can speed up a clip and then slow it down at random points in the clip. I want to take a line and have it normal speed when I am hitting the rail, then speed it up when I am skiing to the next rail, then go back to normal speed when I get to that rail. Is this possible in iMovie? +K for help
you go to clip at the top and theres a fast motion and a slowmotion thing. In your case, I would trim the clip so that you have just the part that you want to be fast motion, and then trim the clip that you want to be slow-mo. If that makes any sense.
If you select a clip you can hit the I button in the middle bar, there should be a speed button (you'll probably have to hit convert entire clip first.) To speed up separate parts choose the area where you want to change the speed, right click and hit split clip. This will separate the clip allowing you to change the speed for each section.
