Editing Contour videos on iMovie

Sorry if there was another thread about this... But is there ANY way to edit contour videos on iMovie for free?  I know the videos have to be converted to be compatible, but if anyone knows any free way to do this, or any other free software where I can simply edit my contour videos and add music to it.  Any tips are greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
