Hey NS,
I've got a Drift HD POV camera and am having severe difficulties getting it to work right, namely in my attempts to make a real edit. I can record and transfer video files onto my comp fine but then once they're on there when I try to watch them the playback (using quicktime) is really shitty, its watchable but just barely. It'll just be really skippy if that makes any sense, like almost frame by frame. not smooth at all. the exception is when i use VLC, in which case the playback is perfectly smooth and watchable. so its not a problem if i want to record something and then just watch exactly what i recorded using VLC, but its not really possible to edit any of the clips and put them together to make a complete edit or anything like that because it'll just be all skippy (using imovie the clips just skip like when using quicktime). Do any of you have any idea what the problem might be? my friend had a gopro and i put some of those clips on my comp and they work fine using both quicktime and imovie so i doubt its anything wrong with those programs, problems only arise when i use my drift. i haven't updated the software (imovie) in a really long time if that could be it. or do i just need to get a different editing program since VLC plays the clips back fine? i have no idea but its really sucked only being to watch the clips smoothly exactly as i recorded them without being able to edit them at all.
