So yesterday I was up at Okemo on the chair lift and this kid in the chair in front of me spit near a person below the lift. I saw this and just thought he might not have seen the person below him. This asshole again tries to spit on another two people... I then yell at him from my chair " Hey asshole quit fucking spitting on people". After this his girlfriend or whoever decides to wave at us... Have any of you guys had to deal with some stupid asshole doing something like this?

A year or two ago, a kid flipped my brother and myself off from the lift, so we waited and watch him go into the park, when we confronted him he just sputtered and skied off, what a bitch.

This is Fucking gay. Like we are all kind of dirtbags when we ski. Hell i sometimes skip Q lines and spit on people off the chair. Thats how skiing was born. We are all somewhat oppressive and being oppressed.

some people are just fucking ignorant, iv'e never been spit on, but last season I had a kid knock the snow off his skis when i skied under the lift. Fine what ever, maybe he didn't mean to. Next run, I was following someone else down, the same kid hits his skis together again only this time the idiot knocks his like 2 din. rental ski off and comes pretty close to hitting me, Very kind words were exchanged when he walked down to get his ski.

This probably happens pretty often

I never spit on people, when i was like 6-10 i would put a lot of snow on my skis before i got on the lift the kick it off when people went under the lift.

Yeah spitting is pretty low and if some one spat on me and I caught them I would punch them right in the nose. Knocking snow off your skis onto people is fine tho. Its just snow.

I don't care if someone yells something(unless it's degrading) or flips at you aswell, but spitting is crossing the line.

i was once on a rollercoaster. i was about 13.

the guy i was sitting next to spat into the air in front of him. the rollercoaster was going around a bend.

Knocking snow off is OK, but only do it to people you know, otherwise it's a bit pointless. If you spit on somebody then fuck you.

Ive only been spat at once and it was by somebody I know. Hes a snowboarder that I've done a couple runs with and I know him from school but he was up boarding with a bunch of his friends for a going away party for another kid from my school. Pretty much every douchy kid from my school was together that day and this kid who I was pretty tight with tried to spit on me from the lift. Luckily hes a lousy aim and I saw it coming so I dodged it. Still makes him and all other spitters fucking douchebags and a disgrace to our sport.

I understand that spitting on people is wrong but who actually skis under the lift? Most places that i ski don't have anything cool to ski directly under the lift.

I just posted this in another thread but I feel like it belongs in here.

I watched a kid bring a chunk of ice on the lift once and throw it at like a 8-10 year old kid and it hit him straight in the head, I could not believe what I saw. I told the dad to stay there with his kid and I will bring the guy who thew it down.

Turned out the kid who threw the ice was like 14 and incredibly immature. I grabbed him by his hood and dragged him down the mountain to the hurt kid and his dad, and his little friends just followed me screaming at me to let their friend go, but fuck that. The dad and I gave the kid a major tongue lashing and got ski patrol, had his pass pulled permanently and his friends all got their passes pulled for 2 weeks. I was stoked to see patrol doing the right thing but I bet that little kid never goes skiing again because of those little douches.

I would never spit on someone, but I usually yell at the gapers from the lift that they dropped their pocket. Its so funny when they start to try and look for their pocket. Lol

more snowboarders definitely do this kind of stuff than skiers ive noticed, the other day I hit some box and some boarder behind me has plenty of time to hit it after me but instead decides to skip it flip me off and ride away lol. Skiers obviously do it too but theres just some attitude thing with wayy more snowboarders.

I wouldn't admit I ski at Okemo that place is flat as hell and sucks. Not as bad as Stratton though.

Fuck people who spit on those below them. Dirtbags.

If I need to spit I make sure its not gonna hit anyone.

Good on you man that's awesome the little shit didn't get away with it.

I once had some learner snowboarder trying to spit on me and my friend from the lift I was surprised though cause the guy would have been in his twenties.
People knocking snow of there skis also pisses me off cause the drop in for the park at my local mountain is under the main lift so its hard to wait there without getting snow on you.

Last year when I was helping my friend get comfortable going off jumps in our park, this one little douchebag pissed me off. My friend was solid on the smaller jumps and wondered if he should try a bigger one with me. I told him that he should match my speed but veer off just to see how fast he should go without actually launching himself (speed check, i guess). Anyway this kid overheard us, shouted "speed checks are gay," flipped us off, and then proceeded to do a really solid 5 off the jump my friend and I were about to hit. I can't do a 5 (this year is my first real year riding park, last year was just experimentations and straight airs) so we were impressed, even though the kid was a dick. It might seem irrelevant but it bothers me when people think they can be tools because they're better than others. Regardless, he ate shit on the next hit and I went ahead and sprayed him when he was down, muttering "asshole" under my breath.

TL;DR 13 y/o asshole was a dick to my friend and I because he was better than we were. Spray vengeance ensued.

last year i watched these little duche bags, probably around 12-13 yrs old, unclip the backings to the seat covers on the lift chairs and throw them off. They would do it while the chair was over a section of trail not opened yet. They finally got caught but they did it to about 12 chairs before that happen. Felt bad for the workers who had to hike down and pick them all up.

I saw this kid about 15 years old, racer but buys twin tips kind of boy, he was mouthing off a patroller who was clipping his pass for knocking a ski school kid (had to be less than 7 years of age) over while skiing switch, poorly.

He was being so loud and screaming and asking like "Why can't you just be nice for once? I was skiing switch the other day and a patroller let me off with a warning, why can't you just give me a warning likehim?" It was pretty funny. The patroller, who obviously has put up with this trillions of times before, did not give a fuck.

Took out his leatherman, clipped it, and told the kid to have a nice night and skied away smiling. Wanted to give him knuckles but I was comfy on a snow bank

Sometimes I bring a ball of snow onto the lift and watch for people I can throw it at, but I always aim just to miss, because deep down I know it's wrong and I would hate to be hit by a snowball while I'm skiing, it still make me feel like a badass though. hehe
