Mad River - Capital Park

The park crew at mrm has been work hard to rebuild the park and add new features with all of the snow that hit recently. I was out there today and had a blast in the lower capital park area. Be sure to check out the park sometime this season! You won't be disappointed.

They just did a rebuild today and it was SICK
Upper Capital Park:
-donkey dick setup as flat-up
-fdf bar
-2 big down handrails
-2 small jumps
-large hip

Lower Capital Park:
-A-frame bar
-2 flat rails
-down pipe

The learning park has some small jibs/boxes as well as a small jump and the sugarbush jumpline/slopestyle course should go up soon

Can anyone speak to the current state of the park after that warm spell we had? Heading up Saturday evening for the Air Bag Big Air. Hope to see some OSU heads there!

its still pretty good. when i went yesterday they had one big jump, like a 25 ft step up. thats the jump line, im not sure if theyre putting more up for the weekend. i hope they do. they changed up upper capital today, i havent personally rode it but theres a couple jumps, still rails. the hip isnt nearly as good anymore. in lower, theres still plenty of rails. there should be 2 jumps at the very bottom, then the airbag jump.

im worried about the airbag. last year they had it at the bottom of the main hill, there was no problem for speed. now its at the very very bottom of lower capital, where its completely flat. i can barely clear the 15 foot jumps there, going as fast as i can, so i have no clue how the 14 ft tall airbag kicker will actually be hit-able

The park is so on point right now, and it just flows so well. Lapped it all weekend and it was prime the entire time. The airbag was so much fun too. All around a solid job by the park crew on this build!

the big air jump for tomorrow is HUGE, theres 2 nice jumps on sugarbush, and capital park is littered with fun rails from top to bottom

Finally got a chance to come back out and shred Capital Park. Had a blast seeing everyone and Capital Park was ON POINT as always. Made a fun little edit with Fitz, but I know they've since added a ton of new features and the park crew is always awesome at maintaining it.
